Verdict: 7/10. A very laid-back gastropub that offers a variety of brunch dishes apart from .. well, beer, of course. The avocado toast was above average although the burger was slightly disappointing. Decent cold brew; generally speaking, not a bad choice if you’re in the area and would like to grab brunch without having to wait an hour. Also, extra points for being right next door to Van Leeuwen Ice Cream!

Recommended: Basic but delicious anyway - the avocado toast!

Avocado Toast, Arugula, Pickled Breakfast Radish, Poached Eggs, Citronette ($15)

This was actually really good. The eggs were perfectly soft boiled and the avocado was fresh. I think there was an entire avocado in there (not skimpy!)

Highlands Burger, Black Angus, Pickled Beet, Scottish Cheddar, Fried Egg, Mushrooms, Black Garlic-Horseradish Aioli, Pretzel Crusted Onion Rings ($17)

I thought it was okay, because it was slightly more cooked than I would’ve liked. The onion rings were pretty bomb though.
